There are some tips and steps to buy and choose a good used cars and with good quality, Read and use these specific tips to help select your high mileage used car.

3. You shop for high mileage cars from private buyers. You want to find a car from a private seller that looks like it has been very well maintained. The car will have good tires, glass, interior, and paint.

4. Take an extended test drive in the car. You want to check out how it accelerates and handles at highway speeds. The decision to buy a high mileage used car is very subjective. And if you do not have good car buying instincts, try to take along an experienced friend or mechanic.

5. Negotiate a price using the private party value from the Edmunds or Kelley Blue Book websites. Expect to pay a premium over the Blue Book values which are based on average values of the car with that amount of mileage. If you want to buy an above average car, it will cost more.
